Dear Parent,
Are you about to embark on the
confusing road to college admissions for your child?
Which
situation would you prefer to be in?
Situation A
- You visit numerous
colleges spending hours of drive time, meals on the road, hotels,
babysitters and whining younger siblings tagging along for the ride.
- Upon arrival, your child
suddenly won’t get out of the car to tour the campus.
- You pay for
application fees for a number
of schools that are not the best choice for your child.
- Financial aid and
scholarship options are confusing.
- You have no idea what
kind of social life and sports activities the school
offers.
- Your child chooses a
school because it's close to home or most of their friends are also
going there.
- After a semester or two,
your child is not happy and wants to transfer to a different
school.
In situation B, the family has
engaged the services of an educational consultant.
- After getting to know the
your child's goals and interests, a list of match schools is
presented.
- Frequently, the
consultant has personally visited many of the college
campuses. Click here to see list.
- The consultant can answer
all your questions including social life and sports activities the
college offers.
- Before visiting the
schools, your child receives coaching from the consultant so they
know what to look for and what questions to ask.
- The consultant assists
your child in completing college applications and essays.
- College applications are
submitted on time!
- Financial aid forms are submitted on time!
- Acceptance letters arrive
and guidance is given to your child for the best college choice.
- Your child looks
forward to starting college with the assurance a good choice was
made!
If you would prefer to be a part of
situation B, contact A COLLEGE CHOICE to learn how we can manage the
college admission process for your child. We will be happy to meet with
you and your child in your home.

In 2003, the following summary
assessment was reported.*
- 51% of students attained
a bachelor's degree at the institution where they first enrolled
- 7% were still enrolled
after 6 years
- 16% left the institution
with no degree and did not transfer
- 26% transferred to
another institution
Of the 26% that transferred, 8%
obtained their bachelor's degree within 6 years, 12% dropped out with no
degree and 7% remain enrolled beyond the 6-year time period normally
afforded an on time graduation.
